      I’m going to talk to you about my experience although there are lots of options.

      I did A Levels Maths and Physics. A lot of Engineering degrees will ask you for these A Levels and they will be very helpful if you want to do engineering as they give you the foundation knowledge you need.

      One of my friends did a BTEC at college in Engineering and went onto to study Engineering at university.

      Another friend did an apprenticeship in engineering from the age of 16 – 21 and is now doing a degree in Engineering at university.

      There are lots of different options. Your school may be able to provide more information on this.

      Hi 365amph45,

      This is a very common question, and I think there is no straight answer to it. As an overseas student, I didn’t do GCSE/A-levels here, so I can’t really relate to my personal experience. However, I could tell you that I did really well in school back home.

      What I always tell students is: do your best, make your best effort to obtain the highest marks you can. With this mentality, I’m sure you’ll surpass the minimum admission requirement of any good engineering Uni.
