      Engineering is the application of scientific principles to solve practical problems. You might use physics equations to calculate how fast a train can accelerate and break and use that to make sure you keep the trains far enough apart to stop them crashing into each other.

      Yes, like Andy says, it the principles come from science. Then, engineering takes part of using those principles (like Newton laws, for example) to turn it into products.

      Exactly what Andy and Andres have said already. You can think about it like this Science is the theory and Engineering is putting the theory into practice to solve the problems of society.
