      Hi 776amph45,

Apart from the remote lab which I have already described in my profile. For my PhD I had to design and build a two -axis tracker so I could take measurements and pictures of the sky. Building and setting up the rig was pretty cool and I got some amazing pictures and measurements.

I have never invented anything but i have blown up a large volume of rock in an underground salt mine in Cheshire which was pretty cool!

I’ve helped to make the Victoria Line have trains with less than two minutes between them. I upgraded the railway line from Salisbury to Exeter so it’s safer and better controlled. I built systems that tell trains where to go automatically and I’m now building a system that lets us spot problems on the railway using sensors built into the trains. It’s all cool in different ways.

      hi 776amph45,

I haven’t invented anything by myself yet, however, I’ve contributed to some inventions. At the moment, I didn’t invent the concept that I’m basing my PhD on, but I am inventing the computer models that analyse the behaviour of the design. In the future, I plan to invent some new things based on this technology, so it should be fun!
