      Hi Kizzy,

My advice would be: work hard, keep your marks high and also try to take maths as much as possible (and understand it). I you understand maths, your life would be easier in uni. Let us know if you have specific questions!

Stick with Maths and Sciences. Enjoy it, keep an open mind about subjects too.

      Be interested in it!

There are so many opportunities out there; like going to the Science Museum to see an exhibition on robots or going to talks on being a space doctor and studying the effects of microgravity on the human body or building your own go kart.

Finding out more about what you can do and what some of options are out there is really important and will make you more enthusiastic about what you’d like to do. I took part in everything I could and it definitely helped!

Keep the faith, fall in love with Maths and Physics, READ EVERYTHING (do not ignore fiction books), understand that you will be pushed to your limits at university, have ALL the fun you can!

Engineering is not the easiest career to study. But if you want to be an engineer, it is the most rewarding way to spend your life.

Also, engineers do not exist in a bubble – we exist in a world filled with all kinds of weird and wonderful people. Make friends with them. Understand that you need to nurture relationships with them.
