My favourite book when I was a teenager was a novel called The Pillars of the Earth. Its sequel is called World Without End, also a really good book!

My fabourite book as a child might have been the Hardy Boys series which is about teenagers who solve mysteries. Perhaps that’s why I try to solve mysteries in Engineering now.

Ooo, I have far too many! My dad used to get annoyed because he’d buy me the new Harry Potter books and they’d be quite expensive and I’d finish them in a day.

I read a lot of Fantasy books as a kid (and I still have a huge collection). If I had to pick, I’d say Sabriel by Garth Nix.

      What’s your favourite book?

I used to love map books. I had an atlas that was my favourite. I learnt about all the countries and all the flags.

The other books I loved as a young kid were Dr. Seuss books.
