• Question: hi how can you make such big things with 3d printers?

      Well, because my 3D printer is very big.

      If the robot is just on its own, we can build things about 1 – 2 m in size. The robot itself is about 3 m.

      We have also put the robot on tracks that are 10 m long so now it can build things 10 m long.

      Unlike other 3D printing techniques, WAAM isn’t in an enclosed chamber. We can just do it in a normal environment. That’s why we picked it! We like building big things.
