• Question: What is your opinion on the new GCSE format?

      All i know is that the grading has changed from letters to numbers. Other than that i’m not aware of the detail of the changes. It’s It’s 28 years since i did mine!

      I think that if you are determined and study hard, you will do well regardless of format.

      (Although my mum is a teacher and complains about it a lot)

      Hi,

      I’m not familiar with the new format and I actually can’t compare it to anything I’ve done as I didn’t take GCSE as I studied in Venezuela. However, like Emma says, you should work hard and due your best regardless of the format!

      I’m not sure what the removal of coursework achieves. It is stated that this is more like work but I haven’t sat an “exam” at work in over 11 years!
