Batch Manager (essentially a Contracts Manager)
Married to the job but love what i do
I am 43, single (never married), no children, no pets and live away from home Monday to Friday. Consequently my weekends are incredibly important to me and i cram in as much as i possibly can – friends, family, horses, relaxation. The plan is to retire early then live it up!
Civil Engineer specialising in water and sewage
I lead a large team of designers and contractors in the delivery of a number of multi million pound projects from inception to handover. My client is currently Yorkshire Water so i am involved with various clean and dirty water projects consisting of new and refurbishment works. They involve lots of chemistry and biology to ensure that the water from your taps is safe to drink and that every time you flush the toilet, your waste is dealt with efficiently and safely – things we all take for granted.
My Typical Day: Lots of meetings and problem solving
